2016 Cayman GT4 This car was made to be the best blend of street, track, AND with a VERY reliable, proven (relatively low maintenance) engine! The build itself reflects this perfect blend with a bent to less is more. Including having the 918/GT3 Carbon bucket seats (which is $10k by itself and is (and will always be) the collectible differentiator vs other GT4s!) and see the build sheet for the more minimal/tasteful additions to reflect this theme/story of the GT4. All aftermarket upgrades are ALL reversable and I have ALL stock parts to put back to original. Suspension Problem: GT4 is known from the factory to have understeer, rear bump steer issues, and just needed a little more refinement for exact steering feel and control. Solution: TPC Racing Offset Rear Toe Link – The BEST upgrade and a must! RSS Adjustable Front Toe/Bump Steer Kit XL (PN# 371) RSS Tarmac Series Lower Control Arm Inner Monoball XL (PN# 3-307XL) RSS Tarmac Serie RSS Adjustable Thrust Arm Bushing Kit - Front Axle (PN# 360) RSS Adjustable Thrust Arm Bushing Kit - Front Axle (PN# 360) RSS Tarmac Series Alignment Shim Set Tarett Front Sway Bar Drop Link DSC (V2) Controller – The final touch to put it all together…allows for more comfort on the street and tightens things down on the track (or spirited mountain curves). Alignment (Track/Street blend with a tilt to track): F -3.2 Camber (Might be closer to 3.0-3.1) F Toe -1.0mm total F Caster +11 F Lowered by 2 turns of the coil overs F Sway Middle R -2.4 camber R Toe +3mm total R Sway Full Stiff Tires: RE-71Rs on stock OEM Wheels – Again the best blend for street and track at the right price! VERY predictable/consistent tires! Braking Problem: Stock Rotors and Brake pads wear out too fast, too expensive, and do not handle the heat as well as Track Rotors and Pads. Solution: Girodisc 2 piece Rotors Ferodo DS1.11 Brake Pads – Simply the best for both street and track Performance Problem: Porsche detunes this same engine they use in the 911 GTS (as they did not want the GT4 to outperform their more expensive cars). They also starve it of air to lower performance. Solution: OEM GT3 Throttle Body IPD Plenum BMC Air Intake Filter Cobb Tune – a MUST to bring it around the 911 GTS levels and smooth out the torque curve! Aasco Lightweight Flywheel Kit with Sachs clutch and pressure plate – Always nice to have…makes the low end of the torque range better for Street and, of course, better for the track at all times (including a huge weight savings in the right places!). This was installed while they were replacing, under a Factory Recall on the 3rd gear failures on the GT4s the transmission. So, it has a Porsche Dealer installed (Circle Porsche in Long Beach) NEW transmission and now a light weight fly wheel! Win-Win.   • I pass my exit all the time...

    This car gives my heart more exercise than a gym. Seriously. I drive over curvy Highway 17 through the Santa Cruz mountains in California every day and its amazing. I look forward to my commute and Ill pass my exit on a regular basis because its so much fun to drive!. This car corners like a race car. With new 20 inch Michelins, Ive raced a Ferrari and Aston Martin on Hwy 17 and they couldnt pass me because of the corners. Few production cars can match the cornering. Mid-engine, 6 cyl. growl in your ear is like listening to a violin. I have the PDK which has a dual clutch so its quick shifting. And PDK always seems to anticipate my paddle shift and places the car in the correct gear before I can do so. Its amazing. The car is so smart. I also have the heated and A/C seats which work really well. Folding mirrors help with tight parking. Headlights are like eyes and they move with the steering wheel. This car has very little storage room inside but theres a surprising amount of space in the front and rear hatches. Overall, its a beautiful performance car. The best Ive owned and Ive owned many hot cars. The quality is superb as youd expect in a Porsche. The body lines are flowing, especially when you glance at your side mirror and see the curved hip. While this may be one of the least expensive Porsches on the market, I think it handles better than my previous 911, 928 and several Mercedes SLs. Those cars may have a higher top speed but this car just feels better. I think the mid-engine balance makes all the difference. Not sure if Ill ever sell this one. The new 718s have a 4-cyl. turbo which doesnt excite me. I still like 911s but I love mid-engine. My 981 Cayman S model was only made for ~3 years before Porsche switched to 4-cyl turbos in the 718. I think a 981 with the right options is gonna be a future legend. I cant say enough. I LOVE my Cayman S.

    I love my 2014 Porsche Cayman base model with PDK transmission. It is beautifully styled, handles like a true sports car should and is a tremendous value for a lightly used car.

    Bought this amazing 981 Cayman S with PDK, Bose, 20 inch wheels, dynamic lighting, and leather package with heated and ventilated seats used . To look at it in my garage, Its a beautiful work of art. To drive it is exhilarating. Can't say enough about how it feels. Comfortable, refined and responsive. You find yourself looking for. excuses to drive it more. Incredible precision from the steering and quick acceleration. Nothing matches that flat 6 sound so wasn't interested in the 718. I've also owned a 2007 base cayman, a c63 AMG, and tuned Audi S3. Nothing compares to how this Porsche makes me feel.
